⚠️ Common Misunderstandings to Avoid

❌ “If I scan a QR code, the AI will find everything automatically.”

Not true — QR codes are only useful when your team has purchased the event organizer’s API Kit. Otherwise, Romify can only extract raw text from visual sources (e.g., badges, cards). AI enrichment only works with readable data.

❌ “The AI should find any contact info I need.”

Not true — AI enrichment works best when a contact has a strong digital/online presence and a company-associated email domain. When a contact uses a general email address (like Gmail or Yahoo) or has a limited online footprint—such as working under a DBA or small firm—the AI may not be able to provide additional enrichment beyond what is already visible.

📍IMPORTANT: Always Confirm with the Contact

Even when the AI provides a full lead record, verify the contact’s details live at the booth.

Why? AI is powerful but not perfect. While errors are rare, they can happen — especially if two people share the same name or work for similarly named companies. A quick “Can you confirm this is the best email for follow-up?” helps avoid future friction.
