We’ve noticed that some of our European customers may encounter issues when opening CSV files exported from Romify resulting from two common problems:
- Special Characters Not Displaying Correctly – Characters like ä, ö, and others may not be read properly.
- Comma Separation Not Recognized – Excel may not separate the data into columns as expected with comma-separated files.
To resolve these issues, please follow the below steps:
Open CSV file through PQ (Power Query) using the Get Data dropdown
- Navigate to the Data tab > Get Data > From File > Get Data from Text/CSV

Use the "Get Data From Text" option
- This option is available in the "Tell me" section and within the ribbon

- It will open the Text Import Wizard and does not create external links to the workbook
