MARKETO INTEGRATION

Send lead captures from Romify straight into Marketo as new or updated people

</aside>

Romify is an AI-powered event revenue platform. It captures, enriches and qualifies leads in real time at trade shows and in-person events.

This guide shows a Romify Hub admin and a Marketo admin how to connect the two, so every Romify lead capture and manual edit goes straight to Marketo. Marketo matches each person by email address, then creates a new person or updates the one it already has.

How the connection works

The connection uses a Romify webhook, Marketo's REST API and OAuth 2.0. For every lead scan or manual edit, Romify gets a short-lived access token from Marketo, then sends the lead to Marketo as a JSON payload built from Romify's magic words.

  1. Someone on your team scans or edits a lead in the Romify mobile app.
  2. Romify Hub triggers the webhook for that lead.
  3. Romify signs in to Marketo's Identity URL with your Client ID and Client Secret, and receives an access token.
  4. Romify sends a POST request to Marketo's Leads endpoint, with the token in an Authorization: Bearer header and a JSON payload built from the lead's data.
  5. Marketo matches the person by email address, then creates a new person or updates the

existing one.

WHAT THIS DOES NOT DO

This connection does not add people to a Marketo Program. Program membership is set up separately. See Program membership.
